Roger of Salisbury

Often considered to be the second most powerful man in the kingdom, Bishop Roger of Salisbury has worked his way into King Henry’s affections. Through his political acumen, the bishop has secured himself a position as lord chancellor and chief justiciar, and when the king is away in Normandy, he is left in charge of legal matters in England. The kind of man who can always find his way to the front of a receiving line, Bishop Roger is constantly searching for ways to increase the king’s power…and his cash flow.
